Who we AreEstablishmentThe Miz-Hasab Research Center (MHRC) was established in October 1996 as a licensed private and independent research center based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.ObjectivesThe Center's objective is to conduct researches on population and development, in general, and reproductive health, in particular, and publish and disseminate the results to as many stakeholders as possible.The specific objectives are to:
Administration and Staff of the CenterAdministrationThe Director of the Center is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and managing all the technical and administrative activities of the Center.StaffThe Center has the following staff:Full-timeDirector (Ph.D.)Senior Researcher (Ph.D.) Research Assistant (BA, Economics) Research Assistant (BA, Anthropology) Junior Research Assistant (BA, Sociology) Junior Research Assistant (BA, Political Science and International Relations) Administrative Assistant (Diploma) Assistant (Diploma) Associate StaffThe Center, when necessary, draws heavily upon the expertise of individuals in the following areas of specialization:Maternal and Child Health Reproductive Health and Family Planning STDs/AIDS and Communicable Diseases Population and Sustainable Development Population, Natural Resources and Environment Gender Equity and Empowerment of Women Urbanization and Migration Fertility, Mortality and Migration. Part-time StaffThere are 36-40 enumerators/field workers, mostly fresh college graduates or graduate students, who are readily available for data collection and entry purposes. Most of these are trained by the Center as quantitative and qualitative data collectors/interviewers and have backgrounds in Demography, Sociology, Gender and Development, Statistics, Public Health and English. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
